Free Sukkot Printables for Kids — Crafts, Coloring & Activities

I made this page for one reason. Every year around Sukkot I’d have about eleven browser tabs open, one for the coloring pages, one for the sukkah craft, another for the decorations, and I’d lose half of them before I’d printed anything. So here’s the fix. All our free Sukkot printables in one spot, the crafts, the coloring pages, the decorations and the activity sheets, so you can just grab what you need and get on with the week. All free. No email, no sign-up, none of that. Works at home, in preschool, or for Sunday school.

Let me walk you through what’s here.

Craft Templates

If your lot want to actually make something, this is where to head. The star of the show is the paper sukkah, the little hut you build, colour and decorate, and there’s a full walkthrough in our paper sukkah craft guide. Then there’s the lulav and etrog set, which the kids colour, cut and then wave around like wands for the rest of the afternoon. That one lives in the lulav and etrog craft post. And if you’re brand new to all of this and don’t know where to begin, the main sukkot crafts for kids hub gathers everything in one warm, friendly place. Start there.

Coloring Pages

Some days you don’t want glue and forty pieces. You want to hand a kid a page and a fistful of crayons and get five minutes back. That’s what the sukkot coloring pages are for. They go from a big simple etrog the toddlers can’t get wrong, right up to a busy decorated sukkah the older ones will happily disappear into. Bonus: tape the finished ones up inside your sukkah and you’ve got free decorations.

Decorations

Honestly the decorating is the best bit of the whole week, and the lovely part is that the kids do nearly all of it. The [sukkah decorations] set has hanging fruit, suncatcher templates and colour-in posters, plus the trusty paper chains that a three-year-old can churn out by the metre. Cheap, easy, and they genuinely end up on the sukkah, which is more than I can say for a lot of crafts.

Activity Sheets

Seven days is a long festival, and there’s only so much colouring anyone can do. The sukkot activities for kids pack is there for the rest: a scavenger hunt, a word search, some worksheets, a spot-the-difference, and a “design your dream sukkah” page. A bit of loud, a bit of quiet, so you’ve always got something to reach for whatever mood the room’s in.

And if you’d rather explain the festival before you dive into the crafts, the what is Sukkot for kids guide has a simple “all about Sukkot” poster to colour and a little fill-in page. It turns the whole “so what is this holiday?” chat into something they actually keep.

A Couple of Things That Help

Two small bits of hard-won advice. Print in black and white where you can, because the colour is the kids’ job and your printer will thank you. And put anything you’re building or hanging on slightly heavier paper so it doesn’t flop, there’s a note on the best cardstock and paper for printables if you want it. Oh, and don’t blow through everything on day one. It’s a seven-day festival. Pace yourself, or you’ll be out of crafts by Tuesday.

Learn More (from Jewish Sources)

One last thing. These printables are here to make the week fun, not to replace learning the traditions properly. For that, go to the people who live it. Chabad.org’s Sukkot for Kids section and My Jewish Learning are both warm, Jewish-authored places to start, and a quick read-aloud from either makes every one of these pages mean a bit more.
