10 Thanksgiving Coloring Pages (Free Printable PDF)

Two years running I’ve printed 10 Thanksgiving coloring pages twice. Once in October, because we’re in Canada and that’s when ours lands, and once again in November when my sister’s family does theirs in Michigan and the kids want to join in over video call. Every year I go looking and every year the pages I find are built for one date or the other, never both.

So this set covers both. Seventy-five pages in one PDF, no email, no sign-up, and nothing in it that only makes sense in late November.

What’s in the Pack

All 10 Thanksgiving coloring pages shown together

Here’s the breakdown, so you can skip to whatever you actually need.

Turkeys

Twelve of them, from a fat cartoon turkey a two-year-old can manage up to a feathered one with proper detail. The handprint turkey outline is in here too, because somebody always asks.

Pumpkins and gourds

Ten pages. These carry over nicely from Halloween, and if you’ve already printed our pumpkin coloring pages you’ll find these are different designs rather than repeats.

Cornucopias and harvest tables

Eight pages of baskets spilling over with squash, corn, apples and grapes. These are the ones that look best coloured in and taped to a window.

Fall leaves and maple

Twelve pages. The maple ones do double duty, and Canadian families tend to reach for these first.

Thankful and gratitude lettering

Ten pages with “I am thankful for” and “Give Thanks” in bubble letters, plus blank space to draw or write in.

Pilgrims, corn and the first harvest

Six gentle, simple scenes.

Easy pages for toddlers

Nine pages with thick outlines and big open spaces, nothing fiddly.

Intricate pages for grown-ups

Eight detailed designs for anyone who wants to colour quietly with a cup of tea while the kids destroy the kitchen table.

Both Thanksgivings, One Pack

Canadian and US Thanksgiving coloring pages for both dates

This is the bit nobody else seems to bother with.

Canadian Thanksgiving falls on Monday 12 October 2026, the second Monday of the month. American Thanksgiving is Thursday 26 November 2026, the fourth Thursday. Six weeks apart, same autumn, same turkey, mostly the same craft table.

Nothing in this pack is dated or tied to one country, so you can print it in October, print it again in November, and nobody will notice. If you want activities built specifically around the Canadian holiday, with a gratitude tree and a thankful placemat, we’ve got a separate Canadian Thanksgiving printables pack for that.

How to Print It So It Actually Looks Good

Printing Thanksgiving coloring pages at home in black and white

A few things I’ve learned the hard way.

Print in black and white. The colour is the child’s job and your printer will last longer. Set it to “fit to page” or the edges get clipped, which is maddening on the lettering pages.

Plain paper is fine for ordinary colouring. If you’re using markers, or you want to keep something, go heavier. Anything around 160gsm stops the bleed-through and holds up to being taped to a fridge for a month. There’s a longer note in our guide to the best printer and paper for printables if you want the detail.

And print a few spares. Someone always wants to start over.

Ideas Beyond Just Colouring

Thankful place settings made from Thanksgiving coloring pages

The pages are more useful than they look.

Use the thankful lettering pages as place settings. Everyone colours one, writes what they’re grateful for, and it goes on the table. We’ve done this three years running and the old ones are in a drawer somewhere, which is sort of the point.

Tape the leaves and maple pages along a window for an afternoon’s decoration. Cut out the turkeys and stick them to lolly sticks for puppets. Post one to a grandparent, which costs almost nothing and lands better than a text.

And if you’re running a classroom table, the toddler pages and the intricate ones mean you can hand out from the same pack to a four-year-old and a ten-year-old without anybody feeling patronised.

Print the Whole Autumn Set

Thanksgiving pumpkin fall and Halloween coloring pages together

If you’re printing anyway, these go with it. Our fall coloring pages cover the weeks before Thanksgiving, the pumpkin coloring pages carry you through from Halloween, and the Halloween coloring pages are there if you’re working backwards. For something to make rather than colour, there are the fall leaf crafts.

And since you’re already thinking about the end of the year, our Christmas printables for kids and the Christmas gift ideas list are both worth a look before December arrives and ruins everybody’s planning.

Quick Questions

Are these Thanksgiving coloring pages really free?

Yes. All seventy-five are in one free PDF with no email and no sign-up. Print them at home, at school or in a church group. Just don’t resell them.

Can I use these for Canadian Thanksgiving?

Yes, that’s why they’re built this way. Nothing in the pack is tied to a date or a country, so the same file works for Monday 12 October in Canada and Thursday 26 November in the US.

Which pages suit toddlers?

There are nine pages with thick outlines and large open areas, grouped together so you can print just those. The fat cartoon turkey and the simple pumpkins are the easiest in the set.

Are there Thanksgiving coloring pages for adults?

Eight of the seventy-five are intricate designs with fine detail, meant for older children and grown-ups rather than preschoolers.

What paper should I print them on?

Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils. For markers or anything you want to keep, use something heavier, around 160gsm, so the colour doesn’t bleed through.

When is Thanksgiving in 2026?

Canada celebrates on Monday 12 October 2026. The United States celebrates on Thursday 26 November 2026.
